GÖCH science awards to Styrian chemists

To promote chemistry, the GÖCH (Gesellschaft Österreichischer Chemiker) - together with the FCIO (Association of the Austrian Chemical Industry) and the ÖAW (Austrian Academy of Sciences) - awards grants and prizes for excellent habilitations and dissertations every year.

The Habilitation Prize 2021 of the Society of Austrian Chemists for habilitations in the field of chemistry and chemical achievements in an interdisciplinary environment was awarded to Priv.Doz. Dr. DI Johanna Irrgeher.
The dissertation prize honors scientifically outstanding dissertations. One of the winners of the 2021 Dissertation Prize is Dr. Anika Retzmann.
Both scientists research and teach at the Chair of General and Analytical Chemistry.

The Science Prize 2021 went to Dr. Simone Bräuer from the University of Graz (https://chemie.uni-graz.at/de/analytische-chemie/forschung/ache/). The prizes were presented at the formal meeting of GÖCH on September 22, 2021.
